A Lack of Offensive Pop

So, with the Braves having Mark Kotsay and Matt Diaz both on the disabled list, the opportunity presents itself for their lineup to contain a couple rookies in the outfield who, based on their numbers in the Minors, look to be two of the weaker players power-wise in the organization. So, how do things sort out for the Braves if they are forced to plug both Josh Anderson and Gregor Blanco into the same lineup for any extended prior of time?

So, the question presents itself, who have been the weakest hitters in the Majors in the Post-Strike Era? Here's a list of players who have had 3,000 plate appearances while posting an isoSLG of .080 or lower.

As you can see, out of the players listed, only Pierre and Goodwin weren't middle infielders. Also of interest is the only former teammates on that list are Castillo and Pierre, who were the table setters for the Marlins team that won the World Series in 2003.

Things could definitely prove interesting in Atlanta if the Braves are forced to plug three players into their lineup -- Anderson, Blanco and Yunel Escobar -- who are all primarily singles hitters.
